Easter in Lincolnshire promises something for everyone. From bunny-themed family-friendly adventures or walking on the wild side to more relaxing days out enjoying the finest spring blossoms or exploring some of the UK’s finest historic houses, we’ve compiled five egg-cellent Easter activities in Lincolnshire for you to enjoy.

Easter in Lincolnshire: eggs, adventures and plenty of fresh air

If you’re looking to get away this Easter, Lincolnshire offers plenty to see and do. From family Easter days out in Lincolnshire to slower-paced activities perfect for couples hoping for a romantic retreat, there’s something for everyone.

To help you make the most of your getaway in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, we’ve rounded up some of the top Easter events that take place every year across the county. Just be sure to check each destination’s listings for the latest availability, prices and more.

Hop down to Doddington for halls, gardens and treats

Doddington Hall is the perfect destination if you’re looking for outdoor Easter activities in Lincolnshire. The stunning gardens are full of spring colour, but it’s the cherry blossoms that are a real draw for those wanting to experience the Japanese tradition of Hanami (flower viewing).

Families will love getting out in the fresh air and exploring the estate’s many trails, while couples can enjoy a special Easter breakfast in The Grain Store or a la carte dining serving up the finest estate-grown and locally sourced produce.

You can also explore the house and uncover its hidden treasures or enjoy a spot of retail therapy at the Farm Shop, country clothing store and homeware shop.

With so much to see and do, the beauty of Doddington Hall is that you can while away an hour or two or stay for the entire day. Plus, since it’s only 20 minutes from Washingborough Hall, you can even pop back during your stay to visit the shop.

Big smiles for little farmers at Rand Farm Park

For one of the best family-friendly Easter activities in Lincolnshire, you’ve got to head to Rand Park.

A real Easter extravaganza, children will love visiting the farm and meeting Easter favourites like the newborn lambs, rabbits and chickens, as well as horses, goats, cows and more. You can get up close and personal with small animal petting sessions, chances to bottle feed calves and watch milking demos.

Plus, with indoor and outdoor play and tractor rides around the farm, there is plenty to keep the whole family occupied for the whole day.

At just half an hour’s drive from Washinborough Hall, we think Rand Park is the perfect place to enjoy an Easter treat fit for all the family.

Go wild at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park and Ark Wildlife Park

If you’re keen to walk on the wild side, then Lincolnshire Wildlife Park or Ark Wildlife Park are two of our top options for Easter things to do in Lincolnshire.

A multi-award-winning exotic animal rescue sanctuary, Ark Wildlife Park hosts one of the best Easter egg hunts in Lincolnshire.  Combining the fun of a traditional egg hunt with the chance to meet some of their incredible animals, like Bobcats, Kinkajous and Raccoons, and explore their thrilling Jurassic Ark-Dinosaur Land with interactive exhibits.  Plus, there’s plenty to keep younger children entertained, including an indoor soft play (perfect if there are spring showers) and an outdoor play park.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park offers a more traditional Easter event, perfect for a family get-together with a difference. As well as an egg hunt, a chance to meet the easter bunny, and creative crafts, you can see incredible animals, including Bengal Tigers, Lemurs, Pumas, and much more. The Park is also home to the ‘National Parrot Sanctuary’, housing over 1,000 rehomed Parrots and Parakeets, so be sure to keep a lookout for the many incredible breeds dotted throughout the park.

Both parks offer a great day out for all of the family and are around an hour’s drive from our hotel.

Hunt for history and chocolate at Gunby Hall

For those looking for more relaxed Easter activities in Lincolnshire, the National Trust’s Gunby Hall is the ideal choice. A charming country house dating back to the 1700s, you can step back in time as you explore the house and learn more about its rich history. Keen gardeners will also enjoy the formal Victorian gardens, which burst into life through spring. Plus, with an on-site tearoom, you can enjoy a leisurely morning exploring before tucking into a well-deserved lunch.

There is also an Easter Trail running at Gunby Estate, where the oldest to the youngest members of the family can enjoy meandering through the beautiful gardens while searching for the elusive Easter bunny.  With activity stations, surprises and a chocolate egg at the end, as well as some adorable bunny ears, what’s not to love?

One of our top family Easter days out in Lincolnshire, Gunby Hall, is around a 50-minute drive from the hotel.
