Lincoln Christmas Lights Switch-On

Ready to mark the official launch of Christmas in Lincoln in style? A highly anticipated event amongst revellers of all generations, the town’s annual lights switch-on is set to return on 27th November 2025. Make way to Lincoln High Street from 5pm (or earlier to secure the best spot and vantage point) and look forward to all sorts of live entertainment, special guests, and of course, lots of Christmas lights. Should you feel like it, you can also head over during the day to tie in your visit with some early Christmas shopping.

Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair

29th to 30th November 2025

No Christmas celebration is complete without food. Taking all of your festive favourites and conveniently placing them all under one roof, Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair is one for all food-lovers this Christmas. Across this two-day exhibition, specialist food and drink stalls will showcase their delicious fare and wares from 29th to 30th November at Lincolnshire Showground. Parking is available onsite, and tickets can be booked in advance to save.

New Theatre Royal Pantomime

5th December 2025 to 4th January 2026

If you’re thinking about what’s on in Lincoln this year for Christmas, then why not consider a trip to Lincoln’s New Theatre Royal? The perfect place for a Christmas pantomime, this iconic theatre has been wowing audiences since 1893 and has plenty lined up this Christmas. Lincoln’s ‘longest running traditional pantomime’, Robin Hood is set to return to the stage from 5th December 2025 to 4th January 2026. Tickets can be booked onsite, however online reservations are highly recommended ahead of time.

The Lincoln Ice Adventure

6th and 7th December 2025

On the weekend of the 6th and 7th December 2025, Lincoln will welcome its very own Ice Adventure to the city. Hosted between 11am and 5pm each day, the event will feature a citywide ice sculpture trail, complete with live carving and jaw-dropping creations. Key locations include Lincoln Cornhill, Steep Hill, and Lincoln Cathedral, and the event will also include family-friendly entertainment and activities. No need to book, just turn up and enjoy.

Christmas means lots of different things to lots of different people and the thousand-year-old Lincoln Cathedral offers a wonderful place to both reflect and celebrate this year. Amongst its festive events, this treasured Lincoln landmark will host something for everyone, from Christmas services to after-hours quiet sessions to heart-warming carol services. Particularly anticipated are live orchestral performances of The Snowman on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December, as well as a concert performance of Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols on Saturday 21st December.
